Smartphone Apps

A selection of medical apps are now available on the HeLLO website. These are for download to either Android phones or iPhones.

Apps are available for Dynamed, Nursing Reference Center, Annals of Internal Medicine, BMJ, Thrombosis guidelines, Adult drug calculations, PubMed mobile and lots more

New books on the HeLLO website

You can now see the new books that have been recently added to the Library Catalogue on the front page of the HeLLO website.

There is a scroll bar at the bottom of the row of books so that you can browse the new selection. Each book has its location and shelf number underneath the front cover so you can easily found it in your local hospital library.

If the book you want is not at your local library just click on the front cover to bring up the catalogue record. Here you can reserve the book for collection at your local hospital library.

You will need your reader ID and PIN to be able to reserve books. If you have forgotten these please contact your local hospital library.

End of Life Care
This new bulletin aims to keep you up-to-date with the latest end of life care information including guidelines and best practice, workforce development and care delivery.

Strategy and Performance
This new bulletin aims to keep you up-to-date with the latest strategy and performance information including guidelines and best practice, healthcare design and delivery, efficiency, legislation and organisational models.

You can add these blogs to your personal RSS feed reader or to have them emailed to you from the Library and Knowledge Service please contact your local hospital library.

Library roadshow

The library service at Lincoln Hospital will be holding a roadshow event on 24th April between 11.30-2pm at the Staff Restaurant

Library staff will be available to register you as a member, explain Athens access; journal article requests and literature searching or answer any other questions you may have.

Hospital staff - are you looking for something to read?

You are welcome to borrow general library books, available at Grantham, Lincoln & Pilgrim Hospital libraries.

Books available for loan include general fiction, crime, adventure and a selection of non-fiction and biographies.

To find out more about the general library loans for staff, contact your local hospital library.

Easter opening hours

The library services at Grantham, Lincoln, and Pilgrim hospitals will have the following Easter and Bank Holiday opening times:

Good Friday (6th April) - CLOSED
Easter Monday (9th April) - CLOSED
May Bank Holiday (7th May) - CLOSED
Jubilee Bank Holiday (4-5th June) - CLOSED

Louth Medical Library will be closed on Good Friday (6thApril) during this period.

24-hour access for staff will still operate as usual.
